How It Works:

At Chandler Tactical Firearms, we take your firearm customization seriously, following a meticulous process to ensure you get the best results. Here’s a concise breakdown of how we transform your firearm into a work of art:

Step 1: Initial Inspection
Your firearm is received and thoroughly examined for safety. If it’s not in safe working order, we’ll advise you to get it repaired by a licensed gunsmith. We can help arrange the repair if needed.

Step 2: Disassembly and Assessment
In this step, we completely disassemble your firearm, examining each part for issues. We communicate any potential problems to you for your decision. We handle the disassembly with care, but please note that certain parts, like tight front sights, may need replacement.

Step 3: Cleaning and Preparation
All parts to be coated undergo an acetone bath to remove oil, grease, and dirt. We apply Cerakote lightly to avoid interference with tight tolerances. If you want full pin coating or specific masking, let us know in advance.

Step 4: Markings and Serial Numbers
Painted or lightly laser-etched markings may be lost during the cleaning and coating process. Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteed way to restore them. Serial numbers will be masked or coated over depending on readability.

Step 5: Sandblasting and Coating Prep
We sandblast all parts with fine aluminum oxide media to provide a clean surface for Cerakote adhesion. Parts are meticulously prepped and inspected.

Step 6: Coating Application
Parts are hung in the coating booth and sprayed according to Cerakote’s strict standards. Our equipment and technique adhere to Cerakote’s specifications.

Step 7: Baking
Coated parts are baked in our oven to Cerakote standards. Stenciling, if required, is done before the final bake-out for accuracy.

Step 8: Inspection and Quality Assurance
Parts are inspected for proper coating thickness, appearance, and texture. If they meet our quality standards, they proceed to reassembly. Any parts that don’t pass our quality checks return to Step 3 for refinishing.

At Chandler Tactical Firearms, your firearm’s transformation is our top priority. Our careful and precise process ensures that you receive a customized masterpiece that exceeds your expectations. Trust us to elevate your firearm customization experience to new heights.
